Travel Grants – Why Do We Offer Them?

Through our travel grants, we want to:

  • Invest in the development of future leaders in quantitative research, data science, and technology.  

The travel grant is designed for motivated students within the community who want to broaden their expertise and take part in world-class academic conferences.

Event: ICML 2026  

Location: Seoul, South Korea  

Dates: 6 – 11 July 2026   

Who can apply: 
This grant is open to students who plan to attend ICML in 2026 and are currently pursuing advanced studies (Master, PhD or Post Doc) within a STEM subject.   

How to Apply: 

  1. Prepare a copy of your CV/resume.   
  1. Include details of any paper submission to ICML 2026, if applicable.  
  1. Submit your application via our website.   

All applications will be reviewed by an expert panel at QRT. Selection decisions are made at QRT’s discretion and successful applicants will be contacted directly with next steps.   

Additional considerations: 

  • Preference will be given to applicants who are presenting a paper or poster at ICML 2026.  

Applicants must not already be in receipt of another travel grant or sponsorship for this conference, except where funding is provided by your university or academic institution.  

Application Deadline: 
All applications must be submitted by Friday, June 5th 2026.  

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.   

What you’ll receive if selected: 

  • Travel and accommodation fully covered   
  • A daily stipend  
  • An all-access conference pass  

The exact scope of support will be confirmed with successful applicants.
