BBVA QIS offers clients a wide range of investment alternatives leveraging on BBVA´s powerful data-driven skills and expertise.

Within the QIS business, the QIS Equity & Solutions team´s mandate is to grow the equity offering, develop new trading solutions and execute innovative QIS transactions.

About the job:

  • Work on the design and development of systematic equity investment strategies, including factor-based, risk premia, long / short and volatility managed solutions.

  • Conduct quantitative analysis and backtesting to validate strategy performance, robustness, and implementation constraints.

  • Respond to client requests, providing analytics, bespoke strategy proposals, and product updates.

  • Prepare commercial materials, including product presentations, marketing decks, and performance analytics for clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor index performance, exposures, and risk metrics, highlighting anomalies or recalibration needs.

  • Use programming and data tools (e.g., Python) to automate workflows and improve strategy development efficiency.

  • Stay informed on market trends and regulations affecting systematic strategies and structured products.

We are looking for:

  • Talented professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in financial derivatives and good knowledge of equity markets.

  • Strong quantitative academic background.

  • Proficient in Python for data analysis and automation.

  • Advanced level of Excel.

  • Native or bilingual English

  • Other languages will be valued.
