QA Engineer (Manual Testing)

London Victoria Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Manual QA Specialist with a focus on manual and exploratory, testing to join our team in the payments industry. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of our payment processing systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Test Manager, update and add to the functional testing suite.
  • Perform thorough manual testing of payment processing applications, covering the functional and
    exploratory aspects.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the highest level
    of software quality.
  • Collaborate closely with internal/external teams to understand requirements and contribute to the
    creation of test strategies.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that may not be addressed by scripted test
    cases.
  • Document and communicate test results, issues, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders in a
    timely fashion.
  • Collaborate with vendor to reproduce and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Manual QA Specialist role with a focus on manual testing within the payments
    sector.
  • Experience of interacting with web based User Interfaces as well as REST API’s.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in creating and executing detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Experience in exploratory testing and a keen eye for identifying potential software issues.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience of working with 3 rd party vendors.
  • System Integration Testing experience
  • Understanding of payments industry standards, protocols, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT Messaging
  • Understanding of ISO20022
