  • Validate security, privacy, and regulatory controls (encryption, access, retention).
  • Continuously improve QA approaches using emerging tools and best practice.

Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • Strong QA experience across data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows (financial services preferred).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven delivery of test strategies for complex data workflows.
  • Solid understanding of TDD/BDD and modern testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Python/Java and frameworks such as PyTest, Behave, unittest.
  • Expertise in data validation, schema checks, and integrity testing.
  • Experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD and embedding automated tests in DevOps pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and Agile delivery experience.

Desirable

  • Financial compliance and security testing (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR).
  • Knowledge of data governance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Performance testing for large-scale data platforms.
  • QA, automation, or cloud certifications.
  • Exposure to Athena, Snowflake, or similar data warehouses.
