We are key player as an end to end Tester in Global Fixed Income Electronic Trading team  Our goal is to gain strong business knowledge to be able to manually perform functional, Non-functional testing ,design Test suites and develop Automation strategies for Trading Applications, delivering quality products as a Strong QA team. Our team is majorly based out of Mississauga(Canada),Manchester(UK) & Shanghai(China) and works with global Dev teams. Our project are fast paced, business critical and focus on regulatory requirements. This role gives you the opportunity to learn Fixed income Trading business, frequent interaction with various stakeholders like BA, PM, Traders, Risk management team ,globally and help grow QA presence in EMEA.

Role Overview/What will you do:

• Identify and recommend requirements for STLC through analysis on the impacted area.
• Design, develop, execute test cases and scripts.
• Developing Test plans, Test Strategy and Estimations for Quality Engineering projects.
• Play key role in Functional and Automation test case development, execution, test script maintenance and defect tracking approach.
• Collaborate with the different project stakeholders to help define and document testing requirements and scope.
• Collaborate closely with global BA, DEV & QA Teams for efficient test planning, test design and co-ordinate test efforts between global teams.

Key Skills and Experience required

Essential Technical skills
 

• Proven QA Testing experience on Systems / Applications written in Java Core Java/Python
• GIT, Bitbucket, JIRA or Similar project management tools
• Cucumber based Automation Testing, Server Side Automation/Manual Testing,API Automation, Swagger, Microservice testing
• SQL, NOSQL Databases (Oracle, MongoDB

Added |Essential skills

• Proven experience working in a SCRUM or Agile engineering environment
• Experience in the developing Test Strategy, Test Plan and performing Functional and Non Functional Testing
• Hands-on experience in designing , developing and maintaining Automated Testing Framework for Backend applications and database testing.
• Documents all details and findings and performs preliminary root causes analyses to provide recommended improvements for issues/bugs identified.
• Ensures all corrective actions are assigned, documented, and completed.
• Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are fully clearly documented, and followed throughout the software development life cycle; makes recommendations for enhanced documentation.
• Gathers, maintains, and creates reports on quality metrics.
• Good to have programming /scripting experience using various languages such as Java/Python, RUST, etc
• Good to have experience in working CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in Performance testing and performance engineering.
• Nice to have a previous development or performance testing experience.

Bonus points for

Experience with a Financial Service industry background working on Trading platforms (Pre & Post Trade Systems).
