Job Details: 

  • Collaborate with product owners, Underwriting managers/analysts and other developers to understand user requirements and develop high-quality rating algorithms using Python.  

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.  

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve coding defects and issues in a timely manner.  

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure coding quality and reliability.  

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in python development and apply them to improve the performance and usability of our rating algorithms.  

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.  

Skills we would love you to have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Experience in Python programming and related libraries/frameworks used in a commercial environment. 

  • SQL skills for data investigation and manipulation. 

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to problem solve and analyse, with a keen attention to detail. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
