Purpose Of the Role

As Purchase and Product Planner for D2C channels, you will be responsible for building commercial buy plans through seasonal and continuity ranges across a retail estate and digital platforms.

You will work in a Buying, Merchandising & Allocation department building options and range planning to deliver key analysis and insights in order to maximise sales potential and reduce risk of terminal stocks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Seasonal Planning & Buys

- Work alongside manager to deliver robust seasonal trading strategy driven by KPI’s to SMT set budgets and targets

- Work with manager and team on shaping seasonal buy budgets, driving category building blocks

- Seasonal review of product performance and store performance. Proposing in season re-buys to manager.

- Drive seasonal changes to allocation plans and stock level management proposing store to store consolidations

- Updating and reporting on sizing and buy grids – following trends, size analysis through sales reporting and feedback

- Work closely with production team, achieving all buy deadlines to seasonal and continuity critical paths

- Work with channel traders on optimal launch & allocation timelines

- Maintain OTB continuity sheets for D2C channels ensuring PO’s are accurately raised with Wholesale/Franchise fulfilments considered

- Checking all Seasonal & Continuity PO’s are raised correctly and match back to Line Details set and created within the department

- Support in driving regional product feedback, building data driven analysis for future buy decisions

- Identify and build stock packages for new stores, if required

- Identify opportunities through product, pricing and competitor awareness

- Planning Rates Of Sales for seasonal buys on historical/like product

- Sizing of all seasonal and continuity buys

- Maintaining and adjusting buy volume grids and size ratios on trending performance

Reporting & Trade

- Produce and maintain a varied number of Monday trade reports

- Produce weekly product performance reports for wider team

- Discuss any weekly trade actions to present to SMT for trade meetings

- Assist manager in markdown trade analysis, reviewing performance and suggesting actions & discounts on specific products

- Regular updates to SMT on key product actions and trade drivers

- Trade of active stock to optimise availability and minimise terminal stocks

- General stock management, in season store transfers and end of season consolidations

General

- Work with manager on ad-hoc requests and special projects required by SMT

- Maintain high levels of communication with cross functional teams within Agent Provocateur – Marketing, Production, Logistics, Wholesale/Franchise

- Work closely with Web & Digital on product placement and trading patterns

- Conduct store visits as and when required

- Regular updates and 1 to 1’s with manager

- Deputise and cover tasks during annual leave
