Public Relations Senior Specialist

The Public Relations Senior Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution of the company’s global PR program, company award submissions, media outreach, media monitoring and reporting and speaker’s bureau efforts. You will multitask, problem solve, manage multiple timelines and work across functions in a high-growth, high-performance environment. You will be an exceptional writer who can perform tactical tasks effectively and with minimal supervision, develop collaborative relationships with team members across functions, display effective communication skills and act proactively across all areas of responsibility. Ideally, you will have agency experience in B2B Tech and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a Public Relations Senior Specialist who will:

Media Relations

• Identify and act on trending media opportunities to promote CSG’s story

• Write and edit PR materials, including press releases, media briefing documents, award applications, speaker nominations, pitches and talking points

• Identify and enhance media targets; Develop media pitches and conduct proactive outreach to engage journalists in covering CSG news

• Monitor company and competitor media coverage and proactively inform partners of trending stories

• Build and execute media outreach strategy to support key tradeshows, events and conferences

Thought Leadership

• Work with cross-company internal stakeholders at all levels to identify and develop PR opportunities and campaigns

• Identify opportunities to promote the CSG's thought leadership through editorial and bylined articles, paid and owned content opportunities

• Drive content development that can be used across all digital marketing channels (ie: social media, SEO, SEM, etc.)

• Partner with marketing and analyst relations teams to identify and leverage existing content to further CSG storytelling and brand awareness in the media

• Work with cross-company executives to source thought leadership angles and support media engagement

Awards & Events

• Seek and evaluate opportunities for company award submissions in a strategic fashion; Serve as the primary liaison internally for award submissions to research, write and submit nominations on behalf of CSG, working with multiple internal stakeholders

• Work with marketing to manage call for speakers submission process and support events strategy with PR

General

• Interface with the company’s PR and brand agencies and other external vendors to manage project execution and reporting of results

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver timely and regular reporting metrics

• Support the marketing team as needed on related initiatives

• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

• Must be able to travel internationally and/or domestically up to 4 times per year

• Accountable for professional working behavior to include; building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s core competencies and values.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• Bachelor's degree in PR, Journalism and Communications, English, or Marketing, or the equivalent work experience in a related field

• 5+ years of PR and/or corporate communications experience in a B2B SaaS based corporate or agency environment

• Impeccable writing, editing and storytelling skills combined with a creative mind that seeks innovative ways to connect stories with various audiences

• Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, intuitive communication, messages and stories

• Ability to be a role model and leader to maintain a great team culture, support and develop your team, enhance processes, effectively steward resources and deliver seamless collaboration across teams

• Strong problem-solving abilities, resourcefulness and ingenuity to maximize the use of available information and resources and make intelligent, informed decisions

• Proven track record of success in PR and experience with media management platforms, technology and reporting

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment

Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.

This role is eligible for a bonus opportunity.
