What does a Proposal Writer do?
The Proposal Writer is responsible for the preparation of client project proposals and working with the Director of Business Integration, Business Development and Projects team during the process of acquiring new business from lead identification to contract signature.

You should have a strong attention to detail, be a go-getter, and be continuously striving for self-improvement. You will need to have a degree in science or equivalent experience, a proven track record with documentation preparation using MS Office Format, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Business Development is a fast-moving and exciting area of MedPharm so you will need to have the ability to work professionally and productively under pressure.

Position Summary
Position title: Proposal Writer
Reports to: Director of Business Integration
Location: Guildford, Surrey (GU2 7AB) - Please check commute before applying
- To prepare proposals and amendments, within appropriate timeframe, to mee the needs of the client and the strategic objectives of the business, with the support of senior team members. To include client liaison when appropriate, literature, patent, and web research as required.
- To prepare price calculations for proposals and amendments as required.
- To maintain/update the CRM database in real-time which permits the management and tracking of the BD processes from lead identification to contract signature.
- To maintain/update BD SharePoint site in real-time for tracking if documentation and associate pricing documents relating to the Business Development process and the creation/update of the proposal and proposal amendment records.
- To liaise with Project Managers and Panning to ensure initial project timelines are prepared, when requested, that meet the project requirements.
- Work with colleagues to secure contract signature to meet the needs of the client and strategic objectives of the business.
- To collaborate with Clients and colleagues throughout the life-cycle of the project by facilitating internal and external communication.
- May be requested to assist with training, assisting others, or assigning tasks to others.
- To perform any other tasks at the request of MedPharm senior management appropriate to the job function
Candidate Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, education may be used in lieu of experience

- Must have a meticulous approach to work and be highly organized and driven.
- Good communication both verbal and written are vital
- Must be able to multitask, manage time efficiently, and be able to prioritise.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
