An opportunity has arisen where we’re looking to provide project management support to a major nuclear project, working as part of the team it is expected that you would have good communication skills both verbal and written, the understanding and ability to use standard office IT package software (word, excel, power-point) is a significant part of the role. Additional skills in the use of bespoke publishing software packages would be advantageous.  Previous experience of working in a project environment is preferred but not essential, the ability to work within a team, meet deadlines and produce a quality output are the main requirements.  The role is office based at Birchwood (Warrington) however there is a degree of flexibility for partial remote working to suit the individual however this must be balanced with the overall business requirements. 

Scope

  • To assist in the production of key project deliverables e.g. work scope documents, cost and schedule estimates compilation, project / work package reports.
  • Production and maintenance of key project trackers and visual aids.
  • Production and co-ordination of project communication plan (external & internal)
  • Support to Project Manager in arranging reviews and key project meetings.
  • Production of project records capturing key project decisions.
  • Facilitating and maintenance of Project Management Plan updates to ensure it accurately reflects the execution phase of project and associated delivery strategy.
  • Active participation in the project safety improvement programmes
  • Collation of project learning and assist in the implementation of the project learning plan. 
  • Capture and quantify implemented learning / benefit adding activities.

Due to the nature of the role and the client, it is important that all applications have resided in the UK for at least 5 years. We need all candidates to ideally be Security Cleared (SC) or have no issue in obtaining SC and DV. A prerequisite for SC is that the applicant has lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years.

Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
