Team/Role Overview

The Project Senior Lead is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required in order to navigate the Firm and negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Provides advanced judgment and conducts in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions. Required to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas. Significant impact on a function and/or the business through making decisions that determine technical approaches and strategies for the area.
Responsibilities:

• Direct the creation of assigned projects and initiatives and manage their alignment to business goals.
• Collaborate with Project Sponsors and Business partners to define business case/cost benefit analysis and ensure project scope is meets the business strategy and objectives.
• Provide strategic direction and feedback with respect to assigned projects and intitiatives.to meet project goals on time and provide executive communication to senior management and steering committee.
• Responsible for the day to day management of executing to milestones and budget associated with assigned projects and deliverables.
• Manage the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
• Direct the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary. Escalate program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
• Lead the identification and drive resolution of risks and issues, including those outside established projects of work.
• Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders, impacted organizations, business and infrastructure partners.
• Drive adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.
• Assist project team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the project can be completed.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience on senior level
• Previous experience in program/project management as a must
• Proven experience in effective communication with senior stakeholders
• Must have a clear understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics
• Must be a subject matter expert in multiple or specific skill sets, business areas or products. Experience in banking operations/finance/accounting as a great asset
