Your Role
We are seeking an experienced Resource Planner to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding project scope, scheduling resources effectively, and ensuring optimal resource deployment across multiple projects. This role requires close collaboration with Finance, Studios, Management, and Scheduling teams to provide accurate forecasting and resource reconciliation.

 

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain resource plans to ensure efficient staff deployment across multiple projects.
  • Provide regular forecasts of resource needs, working closely with project managers and finance teams.
  • Coordinate with project leads to assign staff based on availability, skills, and project requirements.
  • Track actual resource usage vs. forecasts and reconcile discrepancies with Finance.
  • Work closely with Studios, Finance, and Management to balance workload and optimize resource utilization.
  • Continuously refine resource planning processes to enhance efficiency and adaptability.
  • Identify potential gaps in skillsets and support talent development and hiring strategies.
  • Maintain and update resource planning tools to ensure data accuracy and real-time reporting.
     

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in resource planning, workforce scheduling, or project coordination in the architecture/engineering/construction sector.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of project scopes, deliverables, and phases within architecture or engineering projects.
  • Ability to interpret data, generate forecasts, and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Proficiency in resource management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Deltek, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to work across different teams.
  • Ability to anticipate resource constraints and develop contingency plans.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of cost management, budgets, and financial reconciliation processes related to resource planning
  • Experience in large-scale or international projects.
  • Knowledge of BIM, Agile, or Lean project management methodologies.
  • Certification in resource planning, project management, or workforce planning (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AICP) is a plus.
