Project Manager

What does a successful Operational Project Manager do? At Fiserv you will plan, lead and deliver operational initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce risk and strengthen service performance. You will partner with cross-functional teams to manage scope, timelines, dependencies and stakeholder expectations while ensuring operational readiness and sustainable outcomes. You will be a Partner in Possibility, turning operational change into measurable value for our clients and colleagues.

What you will do:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of operational projects, including defining scope, success measures, workplans, milestones and reporting
  • Partner with business, technology, risk, compliance and operations teams to align priorities and drive execution
  • Manage project governance, including status reporting, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), change control and decision logs
  • Build and maintain project schedules; track deliverables and resource capacity to ensure on-time execution
  • Identify process gaps and drive operational improvements using data, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement practices
  • Support operational readiness activities, including training, communications, cutover planning and post-implementation validation
  • Ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready (process maps, SOPs, controls, playbooks and handoffs)
  • Facilitate working sessions, stakeholder reviews and executive updates with clear, actionable outcomes; monitor KPI/SLA impacts and implement remediation plans where needed

What you will need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering cross-functional operational projects with robust governance and stakeholder management
  • Strong proficiency in RAID, change control and project reporting to support audit-ready outcomes
  • Proven analytical capability to drive root-cause analysis, data-informed decisions and continuous improvement
  • Ability to coordinate operational readiness activities and produce complete, compliant documentation and playbooks
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement, executive updates and decision enablement

What would be great to have:

  • PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or equivalent project management certification
  • Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement accreditation
  • Prior exposure to regulated financial services or fintech operational environments
  • Familiarity with project and portfolio tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet or Power BI reporting
  • Experience monitoring KPI/SLA performance and leading remediation in complex operations
