Carbon3 develops, owns and operates AI infrastructure across the UK, powered by renewable energy. Converting legacy industrial and energy sites into modern data-centre facilities, Carbon3 is combining brownfield regeneration opportunities with cleaner, efficient, scalable compute capacity for healthcare, research, finance, enterprise, and public-sector organisations.

We need an experienced Project Manager to drive execution across our core business functions: data centre development, infrastructure deployment, software development, marketing, community engagement, and internal capability building.

The role is delivery focused and hands on, you will bring structure, momentum, and clarity to complex workstreams, ensuring projects move forward efficiently, risks are surfaced early, and stakeholders stay aligned. This is an opportunity to play a central role in a mission-led AI business that is redefining infrastructure, intelligence, and impact for enterprise customers and communities.

Reports to Chief Operating Officer. Works closely with service delivery, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and executive leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multi-site GPU infrastructure deployments with technical teams, data centres, and vendors.
  • Establish delivery frameworks for software development and manage release cycles.
  • Drive marketing campaigns, customer pilots, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Lead internal capability programmes (training, tooling, process improvement).
  • Manage vendor relationships and contract deliverables.
  • Establish programme governance and reporting that enables rather than constrains.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven background in project management ideally within technology or infrastructure companies or within a high growth environment.
  • Proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programmes on time and budget.
  • Experience managing technical infrastructure or software development projects.
  • Strong command of PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools (Jira, Asana, etc.).
  • Comfortable in highly technical environments - you translate between engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to influence without authority and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Bias toward action over analysis paralysis.
  • Data-driven approach with strong risk management capabilities.

One or more would be an advantage:

  • AI/ML infrastructure, GPU computing, or neocloud providers (CoreWeave, Lambda Labs, etc.).
  • High availability, high security and Sovereign cloud or regulated sector requirements.
  • High-growth technology company experience.
  • UK public sector procurement understanding.

What Makes You Successful:

  • Execution over perfection, you ship and iterate rather than wait for perfect plans.
  • Adaptability, energised by changing priorities in a scaling business.
  • Pragmatic process design, just enough structure to enable delivery.
  • Ownership mentality, accountable for outcomes, not just outputs.
  • Systems thinking, you orchestrate across the organisation effectively.

Why Join Carbon3.ai:

  • Shape operational backbone of a fast-growing AI infrastructure company.
  • Strategic exposure across the full business.
  • Autonomy to implement best practices and improve how we work.
  • Potential to build and lead programmes function as we scale.
  • Flexible working.

Diversity & Inclusion:

Carbon3.ai is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

To Apply:
Please submit a CV and brief cover letter explaining your delivery experience in technical infrastructure, your practical approach to project / programme management, and your interest in AI cloud infrastructure.
