About The Role
Knight Frank is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our London-based Project Management team. In this role, you will lead fit-out, refurbishment, and new-build projects through every stage from defining the brief and assembling the project team to design development, contractor tendering, and on-site delivery.Our focus is on office sector projects across London, working with a diverse portfolio of investors and developers on refurbishment schemes, as well as partnering with occupiers to deliver high-quality Category B fit-outs.You’ll be joining a highly motivated, sociable, and supportive team that values collaboration and excellence. We’re looking for a like-minded professional with a Building Surveying background who is ready to make an immediate impact across a wide range of exciting projects.What the role will entailProject and Building Consultancy undertake a range of projects, including occupier fit outs, landlord refurbishment and building repositioning, with projects varying from 5,000ft2 to 300,000ft2. Whilst the department covers the EMEA region, and the home counties, the majority of its projects are located in Central London. The typical project size for the successful candidate will be between 5,000ft2 to 50,000ft2. We are looking for candidates with the drive and ability to grow their experience within our specialist Project Management team.The successful candidate will provide key supporting roles with the opportunity to lead projects for our valued client base. They will have strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to analyse project information quickly and efficiently.The role will involve spending time in both London offices as required. It will also require time out of the office at project and client meetings; primarily in Central London with the occasional requirement for travel outside the M25.What you will be responsible for- Preparation of fee proposals and pitching to existing and new clients.
- Support and advise clients in the strategic planning of projects, including providing advice on the overall approach, team, procurement routes, design management, project opportunities, key risks and mitigation.
- To set clear objectives in line with company/divisional/team strategy and to measure performance against these.
- Delivery of the necessary documentation required for the delivery of the project, including producing minutes of meetings, project reports, financial reports and other associated documents.
- Show strong leadership skills.
- Support the team by aligning with our business strategy and help deliver on our growth targets.
- Collaboration with the professional team throughout all stages of the project including briefing, design, tender, construction and handover.
- Overseeing project completion and close out activities.
- To support team members in career development via training (to ensure high skill levels both technically and behaviourally), coaching, mentoring and the promotion and succession/talent processes.
- Educate and support the team to develop better technical construction knowledge.
- To adhere to all company processes with regards to people management and to role model professional behaviour at all times.
- Oversee the delivery of fit-out and refurbishment projects at a strategic level to manage the professional team ensuring the client’s brief is delivered and that time, quality and cost parameters are met within this remit.
- Be a brand ambassador for x and represent the company, Building & Project Consultancy (BPC), London Office PM team and represent our values.
- Proven track record with existing clients and wide network that can be leveraged going forward.
- Source and secure new clients and support the junior members of the team in doing this.
- Support colleagues in the delivery of projects and step in to support them during any periods of absence.
- Attend industry events and activities as a representative of the company, BPC and London office PM team to build profile and personal network.
- Develop strong relationships with colleagues and clients to seek opportunities and instructions.
- Work on own initiative and under autonomy whilst maintaining communication with the wider team and senior directors.
