Project Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Division – Change Directorate

Salary – National (Edinburgh & Leeds) ranging from £59,100 to £80,233.33 and London £64,900 to £88,100 per annum (salary offered will be based on skills & experience)

This is a hands-on role which will involve all aspects of project management and may involve some people management for a small number of direct reports. The role holder will be able to demonstrate a keen focus on outcome and delivery where you will be required to liaise with colleagues across the business, specifically in Change and Finance & Corporate Services.

This role will report into the Programme Manager and will be expected to work closely with them to support programme level activities and co-ordination across the Programme.

What will you be doing?

  • Working on the delivery of a project contributing towards the FCA’s 5-year strategy, using judgement to adapt the delivery framework to an appropriate level for the project

  • Defining project scope and targets to ensure collaboration across departments

  • Working closely with other PMs and Workstream Leads to ensure a consistent and aligned theme delivery

  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders providing timely updates on project status

  • Identify any potential risks and develop mitigation strategies

  • Ensure all deliverables are met and client expectations are exceeded

Minimum

  • Prior experience managing working on large and complex project portfolios in both business and IT change

  • Prior experience working on a project focusing on business change

  • Prior experience in a Project Management role within financial services, government or regulatory body

Essential:

  • Project Management qualification e.g. PMP, PMQ, APM

  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid methodology

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on capability

  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally
