The Opportunity 

The Data Management Office (DMO) Team sits within Client Managed Services (CMS), and support Production and Change responsibilities for Enterprise Data Management Services (EDMaaS) Clients, interfacing with the wider Client Managed Services team and internal stakeholders.  

 

The DMO Change and Onboarding Lead is responsible for ensuring that the Change Portfolio within DMO is managed successfully to meet the needs of internal and external client stakeholders. The team has 7 full time employees who provide support for new Service Onboarding, and Change to Existing Service, the latter of which may be driven from client, data partner or Rimes. This role will manage the team in delivering to these responsibilities, and will work with the wider CMS team to introduce a clear operating framework for Change across the wider CMS function, encompassing all Products, culminating in transitioning the DMO Change activities to this model. 

 

What you will do: 

  • CMS Strategic Change Transformation 
    • Propose and agree a future Operating Model to support Change for CMS that meet Rimes strategic drivers for Client Support across all Products 
    • Partner with Internal Stakeholders to deliver future state, including transition of DMO Change to support this 
  • DMO Scope Management 
    • Maintain clear up to date records of DMO Change Support Requirements 
    • Establish clear Responsibilities for DMO Change Support and handoffs with other stakeholders in CMS and Rimes 
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to clearly agree DMO deliverables, timeframes and scope 
    • Ensure change is aligned with DMO responsibilities, with escalation of non-standard support requirements to DMO Senior Management and/or internal governance functions for decision support 
  •  Planning and Execution 
    • Maintain clear metrics of DMO resource utilisation for current and impending change, to support resource delegation or work prioritisation 
    • Allocate, monitor and resolve issues impacting delivery 
    • Collaborate with the internal teams to ensure that all project dependencies will be delivered on time – in particular Head of Service Readiness for Client Onboarding 
    • Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure Client specific testing needs for change are surfaced to client and appropriately managed by the Client 
  • Team Oversight and Status Reporting 
    • Maintain regular 1:1s with team(s) to ensure clear oversight and manage staff concerns and support ongoing development  
    • Liaise with Rimes Product Team and DMO Operations to ensure that team are suitably trained on all tools needed to support change and onboarding activity.  
    • Deliver regular status on change to DMO Senior Management and internal Governance functions 
    • Maintain DMO RAID log, delivering action proposals for critical risks and issues. 
  • Service Readiness  
    • Partner with Head of Service Readiness in CMS to ensure all DMO onboarding commitments are clearly defined, resourced, and managed to completion 
    • Ensure successful transition of Change to DMO Production Operations  
    • Ensure Exit Reporting for each Service is suitably prepared and supports clear signoff from DMO and CMS 
    • Ensure all caveats to Production readiness are clearly tracked and allocated to appropriate owners 
  • Ad hoc duties as requested  

 

What we are looking for  

  • Industry  
    • In-depth knowledge PM Delivery on IT or Data projects 
    • Knowledge of Financial Services industry, ideally in the asset management area.  
    • Experience of working for a company which provides services to external Clients or has experience in Service Delivery type organisations. 
  • Project Delivery  
    • Experience of managing client delivery projects at various stages of the lifecycle. 
    • Strong stakeholder management and client management skill.  
    • Able to engage and work efficiently with cross-functional teams both internally and externally. 
    • Excellent understanding of project management discipline (5 Years). 
  • Team Management 
    • Experience of managing smaller teams with technical skillsets. 
    • Experience of managing teams in different regional and cultural settings. 
  • General characteristics  
    • Experienced PM Leader and able to manage globally distributed teams, motivational and encouraging leader who leads by example. 
    • Driven, proactive, self-starter, with a can-do attitude, who is comfortable going outside their remit to get the job done. 
    • Comfortable working in a small organisation – brings experience and expertise and is prepared to get into the detail to get things done. 
    • Pragmatic approach to problem solving - who can influence / persuade and bring people with them on the change journey. 
    • Collaborative, ability to bring people together and understand other people’s point of view. 
    • Flexible with inquisitive nature, who wants to understand how things work. 
    • Ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team environment. 
    • Structured, applies rigor and discipline to what they do. 
    • Ability to engage with stakeholders effectively and surface the required information. 
    • Team player with a proven client-orientation and external client delivery experience.
