Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join the Commercial Technology team on a full-time, permanent basis, reporting into the Delivery Lead. 

As the Project Manager you will be required to project manage technology initiatives that support our Digital/Marketing functional area and ensure that they meet the outcomes defined by the business, aligned to our strategic goals. This role will be required to lead projects that span across Europe with both internal/external resources in a matrix organisation.

This role is offering a home-based contract that will require some limited travel commitment to our office locations, and as such a good degree of self-motivation and flexibility is required.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: 

  • Progress prioritised project ideas and translate them into a clear technology scope/design for approval, supporting business case development. 
  • This role will be working across initiatives that support our Commercial functional area in projects that span across Europe with both internal/external teams in a matrix organisation. Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to elicit, interpret and capture business needs into clear planning requirements, managing project delivery, ensuring project scope is maintained and that the overall technology solution meets the business objectives.
  • Definition and management of effective communication plans.
  • Ensure project delivery meets governance standards, protecting the boundaries of the baseline plan and effectively managing change control. 
  • Budget creation and control. 
  • Managing resources ensuring there is adequate capacity/ability in the team, and project timelines.
  • Successfully implement the change into BAU business operations and service management team, ensuring it meets project success criteria.
  • Surfacing, escalating, and managing of Risks, Issues and Dependencies.
  •  Ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships with stakeholders through positive and proactive engagement

About you: 

As a Project Manager you will have end to end IT Project Management experience in the delivery of complex digital technology projects in a fast paced/time critical environment like ecommerce web solutions, mobile apps, and loyalty/reward platforms. To be successful in this role you will have change control experience, coupled with experience of deploying technologies across multiple sites and projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies. You will also have a detailed understanding of business processes, stakeholder management and management of multiple 3rd party system integrators. It is essential to have strong presentation and communication skills.
