We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Clarivate team. This is an amazing opportunity to work in the Library Software Group of Clarivate which is responsible for product implementation for ExLibris (Part of Clarivate) and Innovative (Part of Clarivate) - a leading global provider of cloud-based SaaS solutions that enable institutions and their individual users to create, manage, and share knowledge.

The work in Professional Services offers the opportunity for international experiences in an interesting and exciting position in the IT industry for the Higher Education and Public Library market, with wide ranging responsibilities and challenging tasks in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.

The Project Manager will join the team responsible for helping customers in EMEA to implement Ex Libris and Innovative products in the Higher Education and Public Library markets respectively and provide additional professional services.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Information Science, Computer/Data Science or related fields or equivalent experience in the software or library field.

  • At least 5 years of experience with library software solutions. A background in academic libraries, higher education, or public libraries.  

  • Fluency in English Italian and/or Spanish is required.

  • At least 1 years’ experience in project management in international software implementation projects, using methods such as PMI, Prince

It would be great if you also had…

  • Fluency in other European languages.

  • Experience in consulting services and training.

  • Experience working with Public Libraries

  • Experience in Higher Education and Academic markets.

  • Knowledge of web-based information systems and technical implementation task

  • PMP or Prince II certification

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Lead software implementation projects – planning and steering multiple projects and ensuring the delivery in time, scope, quality and budget.

  • Coordinate all implementation tasks and other project work with the customer and within our company, including extensive cooperation with other teams, e.g. Cloud Services, Data Migration Team, Support, Sales and Product Management

  • Fully manage customer communication, relationship and expectations throughout project life cycle.

  • Use defined procedures and systems to perform and document implementation tasks; apply standard Professional Services methods and practices.

  • Review and contribute to implementation tools and documents used internally and by customers; stay up to date on industry standards for Project Management and contribute to the development and improvement of Ex Libris and Innovative standard practices.

  • Provide implementation consultancy to customers for a selection of products; Interpret and understand customer requirements and workflows and translate into Ex Libris and Innovative solutions.

  • Analyse and troubleshoot customer issues and requests, provide first line support to customers during implementation cycle.

  • Occasional support in Pre-Sales activities

About the team

  • You’ll be reporting to the Senior Manager - Project Management based in UK

  • We are a team of 9 colleagues based in Europe.

  • Part of EMEA Professional Services Department within Clarivate/Ex Libris, consisting of 42 high performing professionals including project managers, implementation specialists and technical consultants. With this, you will also be part of our Global Professional Department of around 200 colleagues.

Hours of Work:

This is a full-time permanent position based in a Clarivate location within the EMEA region (London, Cambridge, Antwerp, Munich, Barcelona or Jerusalem) and will require hybrid working (2-3 days per week in office, rest of week remote).

This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available to adjust to various global time zones as needed. The teams you will work with are primarily located in EMEA.

This position may require between 5-10% travel.
