KONE is looking for a Project Manager (Lift Modernisation) to join our Major Projects team in London.

Our Major Project department coordinates some of the impressive new building projects in the London skyline. Previous construction project include The Shard, Leadenhall Building, Cannon Place, The Walbrook and the Bloomberg European headquarters. Excited to be part of this? As a Project Manager, you will be the interface with all key stakeholders during the project. You coordinate the activities of your assigned projects to ensure that project objectives are accomplished within the agreed schedule and budget, using approved KONE methodologies and tools. You will be in daily contact with our clients, subcontractors and your KONE colleagues (supervisors, fitters, quantity surveyors, planners, document controllers). You will be the coordinator, keeping all parties working together smoothly.

What would a typical day look like?

  • You will be overseeing and monitoring the execution of Lift modernisation projects

  • You will be in direct contact with our clients. You are their main point-of-contact for their questions and concerns

  • You will review project proposal to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project

  • You will establish a work plan and staffing for each phase of project

  • You oversee the planning of delivery and storage of materials to the site(s)

  • You coordinate the activities of the project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget

  • You aim to be an energizing leader who gets the best of others and strives to exceed customer expectations

What will help you to succeed in this role?

  • Experience in the lift industry ideally in lift modernisation

  • Good project management skills

  • Customer focus

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Planning and Analytical skills

  • Strong organisation skills that allow you to coordinate complex projects
