Project Manager – Digital Transformation

Moreover, the IS and IT landscape has drastically evolved with the emergence of the new editors and cloud provider offering Evergreen and scalable services, new regulations such as GDPR. Restricted European Union export control and country eyes only also play a significant role in shaping the industry. This led to the launch of the Lewis program to ensure we stay ahead of the curve and meet over the needs of our customers.

About your future job as part of our strategic digital transformation journey, Thales Netherlands is seeking an experienced motivated project manager to lead complex, cross-functional digital initiatives that will transform the way we work and innovate. In this role, you will manage and deliver digital transformation projects across departments including IT and engineering. You will ensure effective planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with Thales’ broader transformation goals. A strong focus will be placed on driving change and fostering clear communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring that new ways of working are embraced and successfully embedded.

The main tasks and responsibilities are

  • Lead end-to-end project management of digital transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors/partners.
  • Drive change and communication strategies to support adoption, ensuring transparency, clarity, and engagement throughout the transformation journey.
  • Contribute to governance processes that reinforce accountability and sustainable change.
  • Monitor performance, track KPIs, and report progress to leadership.
  • Uphold Thales standards for quality, cybersecurity, and operational integrity.

Why you’d be a good match

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business administration, IT, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably within the technology, engineering, or high-tech industry.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building a network and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Projects, Jira, Confluence).
  • Dutch nationality is required due to security and defense project regulations.
  • Security screening (AIVD-B) is mandatory.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
