About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Operations team and support the delivery of strategic initiatives across ActiveViam. The role will work across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Operations, providing the project management discipline needed to keep cross-functional initiatives moving. You will work closely with the Head of Project Management, helping to maintain a clear view of plans, milestones, actions, risks and dependencies and ensuring that decisions and commitments are followed through. We are also developing how we use AI and automation within project and programme management. A key part of the role will be looking for opportunities to reduce manual administration, improve the quality of project information and make better use of the systems and data we already have. This role would suit someone with strong project management foundations who is comfortable working in a technology environment and wants exposure to a broad range of strategic and operational initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Project and programme management

  • Support the planning and delivery of cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain project plans, milestones, actions, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Track delivery against agreed dates and follow up with accountable owners.
  • Identify blockers or conflicting information and escalate these appropriately.
  • Coordinate inputs across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Support requirements gathering, documentation and traceability through to delivery.
  • Maintain clear and accurate project documentation.
  • Support project governance meetings, including preparation, decisions, actions and follow-up.
  • Help ensure agreed ways of working and governance processes are consistently followed.

Jira and Confluence

  • Maintain project and programme information within Jira and Confluence.
  • Ensure actions, requirements, milestones and delivery information remain current and traceable.
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to understand delivery progress and dependencies.
  • Help improve the quality and consistency of information held within project and product management tools.
  • Produce useful project and management reporting from the information held within these systems.

Reporting and analysis

  • Prepare concise status updates for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Bring together information from different teams to provide a clear view of progress.
  • Support the preparation of executive and programme reporting.
  • Analyse project information to identify emerging risks, dependencies or areas requiring attention.
  • Maintain evidence behind project status and key delivery milestones.

AI and continuous improvement

  • Use AI tools to support project administration, analysis and reporting.
  • Identify manual activities that could be simplified or automated.
  • Help test and implement AI-enabled project management workflows.
  • Work with colleagues across the business to understand how existing AI capabilities could improve project and programme delivery.
  • Support the development of repeatable processes and templates that can be used across strategic initiatives.
  • Look for opportunities to improve project management discipline without introducing unnecessary process or bureaucracy.

Essential skills and experience

  • 3–5 year’s experience in project management, programme support, PMO, business analysis or a similar role.
  • Practical experience working in a technology, fintech, financial services or related environment.
  • Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence to manage project or product delivery.
  • A recognised project management qualification or certification, such as PRINCE2, APM, AgilePM, Scrum or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of core project management disciplines, including planning, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and change.
  • Experience coordinating activity across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to take complex or incomplete information and structure it clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence following up on commitments and working with people at different levels of an organisation.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail while retaining sight of the overall objective.
  • An active interest in AI and how it can be applied to improve ways of working.
  • A willingness to learn and develop knowledge of ActiveViam’s products, clients and markets.

Would be an advantage

  • Experience working within fintech, capital markets, investment management, risk management or financial technology.
  • Familiarity with financial services products, investment workflows or risk concepts.
  • Experience supporting Product and Engineering teams and working with software development lifecycles.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and translating business requirements into structured delivery inputs.
  • Experience producing reporting for senior management or executive governance.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or other generative AI applications as part of day-to-day work.
  • Exposure to automation, workflow tools or AI agents.
  • Experience working in a growing or changing organisation where processes are still being developed.

The person

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility for their work. You should be curious and willing to understand the context behind what you are being asked to do rather than simply completing a task. You will need to be comfortable moving between different initiatives, working with incomplete information and adapting as priorities change. You should also be willing to challenge existing ways of working. We want good project management discipline, but we do not want process for the sake of process. Where something can be simplified, automated or done more effectively, we want someone who will identify it and help improve it. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with the willingness and ability to learn. You will be given exposure to different parts of the business, senior stakeholders and complex strategic initiatives, with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the role develops.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced international environment with real breadth of exposure.
  • A collaborative, high-performance team with a clear path for progression.
  • Hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office).
