KBR is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our team in Leatherhead. This is an exciting opportunity to lead project controls activities across major projects, providing leadership in planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, risk management, and performance reporting.

As a key member of the project leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring robust project controls processes are in place, helping to drive successful project delivery while managing performance, schedule, cost, and risk objectives. You will also lead and develop project controls personnel, working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants, and contractors.

What You'll Do

As Project Controls Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage project controls teams, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting functions.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems, processes, and procedures aligned with project requirements.

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and reporting of project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.

  • Monitor project performance and identify risks, trends, and potential impacts to schedule, cost, or scope.

  • Ensure timely identification and management of project changes, providing mitigation strategies where required.

  • Manage project forecasting, financial reporting, and performance measurement activities.

  • Maintain and oversee critical path schedules, progress measurement systems, and schedule analysis.

  • Produce and review key project controls reports including baseline schedules, S-curves, Gantt charts, histograms, critical path analyses, and progress reports.

  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, operations, and project management teams to support project delivery objectives.

  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, performance, and forecasts.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project controls processes and methodologies.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and company standards throughout project execution.

  • Mentor, coach, and develop project controls personnel to build capability and support business growth.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.

  • Professional certification such as PMP or similar is advantageous but not essential.

Experience

  • Significant experience within Project Controls, Planning, Scheduling, or Project Management environments.

  • Previous experience in the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or related process industries.

  • Proven experience leading project controls teams on complex engineering and construction projects.

  • Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, and risk management processes.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and project scheduling methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of schedule development, baseline management, and critical path analysis.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Experience developing and managing Level 3 project schedules.

  • Knowledge of project performance reporting, manpower planning, resource forecasting, and progress measurement systems.
