We are seeking an enthusiastic Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic team within the CIO Treasury Trading Platforms.

You’ll be working within a team delivering and supporting technical solutions to our internal users within the UK Banking Treasury business. The focus is on delivering business value, taking ownership of requirements, perform analysis, write technical specifications, develop and deliver solutions using cloud based technology and DevOps agile methodology.

If you’re delivery driven, have strategic thinking but can also dive into the detail and are passionate about bridging technology and business outcomes, this could be the role for you.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Engaging autonomously with stakeholders, key business users and other third parties and architects involved to elicit and capture overall scope, approach and business requirements
  • Creating technical specifications and build solutions linked to the chosen technical implementation according to best practise in the industry
  • Adding value by challenging the business requirements i.e. what are the gaps in what is stated versus understanding of the overall objective and proposed operating model, as well as delivery well design, scalable technical solutions using updated technologies
  • Championing a test-driven delivery strategy by ensuring that all requirements have clearly defined success criteria
  • Supporting the solution architects, functional analysts, developers and PM as the SME with knowledge in wholesale markets trading and risk

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Great experience with Agile development / Software life cycle
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery tools
  • Knowledge in Springboot, Java, DevOps tools, Jenkins, Docker, C#, .Net, Oracle PL/SQL
  • Experience engaging autonomously with stakeholders, key business users and other third parties and architects
  • Experience creating technical specifications and build solutions linked to the chosen technical implementation according to best practise in the industry

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Cloud technology, micro-service architecture, APIs, delivery pipelines and continuous delivery tools, real-time architectures
  • Broad technical knowledge with familiarisation of big data
  • Expertise in Treasury Trading Settlement/Payments, Collateral management, Accounting
  • Exposure to other core business areas including Liquidity Management, Regulatory Reporting, Capital Requirements, Credit Risk and ALM

What else you need to know:

This permanent role is based in our London Triton Square office.

We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

1st Stage – Technical Interview – this will a 30min technical interview with one of the team

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This can be done virtually or face to face depending on your situation.
