Programme Manager

This is a great job for someone who has an understanding of the UK asset management industry with experience of working with users from the front and back-office environment.

A bit about the job:

As a Programme Manager, you will take professional ownership of gathering requirements and overseeing the development, testing and implementation of projects within Aviva Investors, including responsibility for driving forward initiatives from the Ideas Factory. You will ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while following the relevant Aviva and AI Transformation frameworks and protocols. You’ll produce clear, accurate and comprehensive documentation—covering project artefacts, operating models and procedures—and keep sponsors, stakeholders and partners fully informed of progress, challenges and key decisions. In this role, you will champion process and service improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce risk, while delivering robust, scalable and cost‑effective operational solutions. You will also provide high‑quality project collateral for governance and reporting forums and work collaboratively with Business Sponsors and the Finance team to support sound budget decision‑making.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Evidence of delivering transformative change in the Investment Management business

  • Evidence of delivering change in the context of an evolving, complex and changing organisation, addressing the ambiguity and conflicting demands that may result

  • Experience of continuous improvement methodologies and application e.g. Lean Six Sigma

  • Experience in defining and running processes to increase the efficiency of our transformation function

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in

  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus

  • Family friendly parental and carer’s leave

  • Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days

  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products

  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it

  • Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars

  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme

  • 21 volunteering hours per year

Aviva is for everyone:

We’re inclusive and welcome everyone – we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences. Excited but not sure you tick every box? Even if you don’t, we would still encourage you to apply. We also consider all forms of flexible working, including part time and job shares.

We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most of our people are smart working –spending around 50% of their time in our offices every week - combining the benefits of flexibility, with time together with colleagues.
