Job Description

Programme Manager - Home-based with Travel

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our Professional Services team. Reporting to the Projects & Programmes Practice Lead, you will manage complex transformation projects and programmes, ensuring delivery within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards.

This is a great opportunity to join Telefonica Tech as we are growing and now dealing with larger and more complex enterprise-sized programmes. This role will play a pivotal part in helping Telefonica Tech be a market leader in digital transformaation. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute programmes, ensuring progress and resolving issues.
  • Define and implement programme governance.
  • Manage risks, issues, and quality assurance.
  • Report progress to internal and customer stakeholders.
  • Oversee programme budget and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate project team appointments and manage third-party contributions.
  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Significant experience as a Programme Manager - ideally working for an IT Services, IT Consultancy, Systems Integrator or Enterprise Organisation 
  • Extensive experience in project management, particularly in infrastructure, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MSP, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and a high degree of empathy.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel for work purposes.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSP or equivalent
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent 
  • PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner or equivalent 
  • ITIL V4 
  • Must be eligble to pass SC Clearance
