The Role

The Programme Manager for Premier & SLAM supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of key initiatives within the Valve Ecosystem. This role ensures effective cross-team alignment, operational readiness, and consistent project oversight across all Premier and SLAM ecosystem activities.


Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience in project/product management or live event management (esports is a plus)
  • enthusiasm for live events, broadcast and esports
  • strong understanding of project management and process documentation
  • travel: required to travel to live events for event delivery
  • work schedule: some weekend and evening work required in alignment with broadcast and live events schedule
  • ability to independently deliver against project timelines and deliverables
  • excellent communication skills
  • thriving in fast-paced environments with a high level of collaboration across departments and stakeholders
  • ability to keep an overview across multiple project deliveries

Key Responsibilities

Project & Programme Management

  • Collaborate with the wider ecosystem team to define delivery deadlines and establish appropriate communication flows and meeting structures.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to track project progress, align on scope, and proactively identify risks or issues.
  • Partner with the Programme Director (PD) and Executive Producer (EP) to define KPIs for each project and ensure alignment across the wider team.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines and delivery documentation, updating them as projects progress.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Create and maintain a centralized document storage system for all Valve Ecosystem materials.
  • Maintain and update Single Source of Truth (SSOT) documentation, ensuring inputs from all departments are correctly represented and linked.
  • Track minutes and action items from key ecosystem meetings and Tournament Councils, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Provide regular status updates to the PD, demonstrating clear understanding of operational implications and project impact.

Communication & Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate ecosystem team meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes and track actions.
  • Lead meeting facilitation with external stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Support the PD in communicating updates, changes, and key project information across the broader ecosystem team.

Operational Support & Delivery

  • Ensure readiness of programme delivery across all ecosystem departments, escalating risks or delays to the PD and EP as necessary.
  • Own the Merchandise process delivery for Valve and ensure timely execution.
  • Oversee internal ticketing needs and Corporate Hospitality requirements and deadlines.

Financial Support

  • Assist the PD with budget updates and collaborate with the Finance Business Partner on financial tracking and reporting.

Additional Responsibilities
Contribute to other ecosystem projects and initiatives as assigned by the Programme Director.
