Job Description
Role Summary
The Production Operations Trainer plays a crucial role in ensuring that our operational team function efficiently, safely and adhere to the highest manufacturing standards.
In this role, you will own the development, maintenance and coaching of training materials for operational teams and are also responsible for the delivery of classroom and "On the Job Training" for employees when needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Trains employees utilising the job training documentation, working alongside subject matter experts to ensure that "hands on training" is performed in accordance with documented procedures, including employee inductions and onboarding.

  • Leads the development of task instructions through colleague collaboration, and ensures the continuity of Standard Operating Procedures, Work instructions, Checklists, Skills Matrices and Manuals.

  • Maintains full and accurate records, particularly the training database and Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS).

  • Performs audits to evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes (including compliance to Kraft Heinz standard procedures), and collaborates with the HRBP: Growth and Performance to present key training requirements to Operational Leaders.

  • Maintains up to date knowledge and understanding of production processes, production scheduling, regulatory requirements, quality standards, costs, delivery and safety.

  • Proactively supports driving improvements in all aspects of Site Operations performance, relating to quality, safety, productivity, engineering, maintenance, cost control, service to sales, employee training, engagement, and leadership development.

  • Evaluates employee "readiness" through the established Competency Assessment Process.

  • Aids in the continuous improvement of the site safety and quality culture, including: performing safety or quality audits, and reporting safety/quality concerns.

  • Ensure that employees across site are both safe and competent to do their role.

  • Make a positive impact on operational efficiency of Kitt Green.

  • Support processes and standards across site to ensure adherence to KHMS.

Expected Experience and Required Skills
Our ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who can modify their approach to diverse learning styles, and comfortably present learning content in a variety of settings. An adaptable teammate: they'll have a positive demeanor and a strong desire to continuously improve in all they do. Manufacturing related experience (such as Safety Rules, Quality Systems, GMP, SAP), but above all else, we value a passion for developing people.
  • You are well organised, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • You are able to cope with a variable workload and maintain focus on quality of service
  • You have excellent communications skills and are able to deliver presentations to large and small groups
  • Able to influence both internal and external contacts
  • PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
