Job Title: Production Assistant

Duration: Fixed Term Contract (3 months)

Reports to: Head of Crewing Resources

Location: NEP UK Head Office

Role Overview

The Production Assistant will form part of the Production Coordination department, providing essential administrative support across NEP UK’s outside broadcast portfolio. The role focuses on coordinating third-party suppliers, raising purchase orders, supporting crew logistics, and assisting with the preparation of planning and accreditation documentation.

This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role that underpins the successful delivery of live and recorded broadcasts. While previous outside broadcast experience is not required, the role offers an excellent entry point into the broadcast industry for individuals seeking to build operational knowledge within a dynamic and high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the regular booking of third-party service suppliers across NEP UK productions.
  • Generating and processing Purchase Orders for freelance crew and third-party suppliers across a range of outside broadcasts.
  • Supporting with the implementation of the new crewing system, Easy Job
  • Collating crew travel and accommodation requirements and supporting the booking of accommodation in the UK and internationally.
  • Gathering and organising information required for accreditation systems and venue compliance requirements.
  • Assisting in the preparation and assembly of production planning documentation.
  • Collecting, verifying, and maintaining accurate crew, venue, and supplier contact data.
  • Supporting the Operations team with general administrative duties to ensure smooth delivery of broadcast projects.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is completed within required deadlines.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling financial and logistical data.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to support wider team objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise confidently with crew, suppliers, and venues

Interests and Background:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role.
  • Demonstrable experience managing data, bookings, or financial documentation (e.g., purchase orders).
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Desirable:

  • Interest in broadcast, live events, or media production.
  • Experience working in a logistics, events, or production environment.
  • Exposure to financial systems or procurement processes.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday; 9am-5.30pm
