The Role

As a Product Support Engineer, you will support our fleet of devices deployed both externally and internally. You will apply your technical and tactical expertise to lead root cause investigations to solve critical path issues. You will lead life cycle engineering efforts across electronics and mechanical domains, and work collaboratively with software and optics engineers to diagnose issues, implement durable fixes, and ensure fleet reliability for internal and external users.

Additionally, you will support the product development organisation to transfer our next-generation neuromonitoring product from development into manufacturing. You will create work instructions and test protocols, develop test fixtures and service tools, and provide design-for-serviceability feedback during design and development.

At CoMind, all team members work at least 4 days per week from our new Kings Cross offices, plus a flexible work-from-home day.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across electronics, mechanical, and software subsystems.

  • Perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.

  • Maintain configuration control of prototype hardware, software, and test setups.

  • Support internal and external prototype deployments by ensuring readiness, reliability, and quick turnaround of fixes.

  • Work closely with electronics, software, mechanical, and optical engineering teams to understand subsystem interactions and resolve cross-discipline issues.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to resolve production difficulties or quality issues.

  • Participate in technical design reviews and documentation efforts

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in a product support, field service, systems, sustaining, or manufacturing/production engineering role

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronics and software issues; comfort working with mechanical assemblies.

  • Strong ability to understand and support existing hardware and software designs

  • Experience performing root-cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions in a regulated environment

  • Proficiency creating engineering documentation such as work instructions, service procedures, and test protocols.

  • Strong test, measurement, and debugging skills using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.)

  • Ability to manage and triage multiple concurrent issues across a fleet of devices

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Background in electronics engineering or embedded/software-adjacent roles.

  • Familiarity with optics or optical instrumentation.

  • Experience in regulated industries, medical devices, or familiarity with standards such as IEC 60601, ISO 13485, or similar.

  • Experience supporting transfer to manufacturing or managing product life-cycle improvements.

Benefits:

  • Company equity plan so all employees share in the success of the company

  • Comprehensive mental health support, including unlimited access to 1:1 sessions with trained professionals

  • Free lunch every day via JustEat and free dinner on those days where you need to work later

  • Twice weekly deliveries of fresh fruit and a comprehensive selection of snacks and drinks
