Position Description

PIMCO is seeking a Product Analyst/Associate to work in the EMEA Product Strategy team. The core function of the role involves the analysis of complex data and applying those results to help deliver portfolio solutions for clients and to produce client focused materials on PIMCO’s investment strategies.

The Product Analyst/Associate must build strong internal relationships and partnerships with Portfolio Managers, Account Associates and Account Managers, as well as Business Development and Compliance teams across the firm. This job will be based in London.

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Strategists in delivering portfolio solutions for clients

  • Perform detailed portfolio research and quantitative analysis with Excel, Bloomberg, and PIMCO systems

  • Produce attribution and market commentary as well as other product analysis reports on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis 

  • Conduct data and information collection, analysis, and interpretation tasks to increase the effectiveness of the EMEA Product Strategy team in delivering strategy advice and implementation

  • Work with business development on RFPs for new opportunities and due diligence requests

  • Work with the product strategy team to monitor and manage the project queue to help prioritize opportunities, and follow up with account managers to ensure continued connectivity and sustained involvement with clients

  • Serve as an internal resource for client servicing and marketing groups for portfolio, market, strategy, and asset allocation related questions and inquiries

  • Maintain marketing materials such as presentation books and other general education materials

  • Conduct ad-hoc research projects related to competitors and market developments

  • Assist in the development of new products and funds

Position Requirements

  • 1-4 years of asset management, wealth management, or related financial services experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Accounting preferred

  • Well organized; high energy level/self-starter; strong results orientation

  • The ability to work effectively and professionally across seniority levels both internally and externally

  • Ability to organize and communicate information effectively
