The company

Fast, flexible finance empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities — making both their business and the economy stronger. At iwoca, we do all of that. We help businesses get the funds they need, when they need it, often within minutes. We’ve already made several billion in funding available to more than 100,000 businesses since we launched in 2012, and positioned ourselves as a leading Fintech in Europe.

Our mission is to finance one million businesses. We’ll get there by continuing to make our finance ever more relevant and accessible to more businesses by combining cutting-edge technology, data science, and 5-star customer service.

The team

The UK Funnel Teams optimise iwoca’s lending products and the customer journey. The teams include analysts, developers, and data scientists working together to design, build, and test innovative solutions. The teams use data-driven insights to identify the most effective ways to serve our customers, while maximising the mutual value in iwoca’s relationships with small and medium sized enterprises.

The role

The Product Strategy Analyst role combines strategic and analytical thinking. The successful candidate will conceive, manage, and  deliver projects that use the scientific method to identify product changes that motivate customers. The role requires interpersonal skills to pitch plans to senior leadership, with business and technical acumen to engage the development teams that will bring ideas to life. In short: you’ll enjoy tremendous freedom to identify and drive projects that make iwoca successful.

Responsibilities and projects will include:

Broadening and optimising our lending strategy

  • Analyse customer behaviour trends to identify relationships between iwoca’s product features like the amounts that customers draw down or pricing.

  • Use the insights you uncover to recommend strategies that enhance iwoca’s performance.

  • Collaborate closely with the Distribution, Credit Risk and Operations teams to launch and execute innovative new strategies.

Owning the customer experience

  • Experiment relentlessly to deeply understand how iwoca’s user experience influences customers’ behaviours.

  • Partner with the design team to create, test, and optimise the application process, refine how iwoca presents offers to customers, and enhance customer retention strategies.

  • Use your insights to drive customer conversion, engagement, and satisfaction.

Leading and collaborating

The role suits an individual contributor who can lead by influence. As your role and iwoca’s needs mature, you might think about managing direct reports. We’re open-minded: share your goals with us.

  • Communicate your findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to individual contributors, using data visualisation and storytelling to get buy-in and enable decision making.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple business areas to identify new initiatives and common goals.

The requirements

Essential:

  • Commercial experience in a strategy role within finance, tech, product, and/or consultancy.

  • Analytical background, demonstrated through academic qualifications (such as a strong STEM degree) and/or through professional experience.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge and recommend innovative solutions.

Bonus:

  • Experience working with tech and data science teams

  • Experience creating and optimising customer user journeys

The salary

We expect to pay from £60,000 - £80,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
