At Nexperia Manchester, we are looking for a Product Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. We offer you huge scope to develop and make a real impact on a global semiconductor manufacturer producing over 100 billion devices every year.

What you will do

This role is critical to ensure the timely handling of customer complaints. It safeguards customer satisfaction and trust and acts as the key interface between product group quality, the customer and other functions. By driving root cause analysis, corrective actions and cross functional alignments, the role contributes to the long term improvement of the company and protects our reputation in the market.

Duties will include:

  • Taking ownership of complaint handling for your assigned product group and support customer requests
  • Driving structured problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D), including root cause analysis, definition of containment actions, and implementation of sustainable corrective measures
  • Monitoring and following up on quality improvement actions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Documenting, analysing and evaluating quality data using relevant tools with respect to reliability, yield, FMEA and customer requests
  • Supporting and contributing to product qualification activities for our products
  • Ensuring the implementation and adherence of quality procedures and standards (Nexperia, AEC, and customer-specific) in both operational and project-related activities

What you will need

Essential

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field combined with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor devices and applications
  • Knowledge of quality and reliability standards (e.g. AEC-Q101) and structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why)
  • Familiarity with measurement methods and equipment as well as device testing environments
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to coordinate across functions and cultures
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Beneficial

  • Experience in wafer fab and assembly processes
  • Working experience with Small Signal MOSFETs
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical methods (e.g. Weibull analysis)
  • German language skills
