We're on the hunt for a passionate Product Owner for the Rail Gates stream. This exciting role is a member of the AFC (automatic Fare Collection) Product team, who is accountable for making the value based decisions that inform what our team will deliver and in what order we will deliver it.
They champion the needs of our customers and stakeholders, evangelise the qualities of our solutions and help our sales, customers and project teams understand how to benefit from them, whilst remaining focused on the commercial viability of our offerings
This role will suit someone that loves a variety of responsibilities and working across multiple teams, in a global context.

What will you be responsible for?
- Prepare user stories and tasks for the development teams involved in the Solution
- Define, document, and own our roadmap for the delivery of the product as well as new features and enhancements, bringing together our customer commitments, stakeholder needs and market trends.
- Become an SME and Provide subject matter expertise on my solutions’ capability, supporting our sales, solution delivery & operational processes.
- Evaluate & prioritise new features and new platform enhancements based on value, using customer feedback as my guiding principle.
- Accountable for validating & approving readiness for deployment of features & enhancements (PO verify process).
- Actively and constructively engage with the customers, and the internal and third party partners and vendors with whom we collaborate to provide solutions to our customers.
- Assist in producing collateral needed to support sales, colleagues, and customers
What does our ideal candidate look like?
- Excellent communication skills: Confident communicator that can work across multiple mediums, with both technical and non-technical audiences. Should be able to manage difficult conversations and be able to challenge others.
- Be able to form and maintain effective relationships across a range of internal Vix teams, industry consultants, existing customers and prospects
- Be able to interpret contractual information and ensure compliance.
- Good organisational skills, including multi-tasking and context switching
- Knowledge of Public Transport Payments Technology
- Knowledge of Fare Collection Technology
- Experience writing and communicating clear user stories to a set standard
- Knowledge of Scrum Product development methodology
- Exposure to UX Design Thinking is desired.
