Your new role: Marketing & Content Product Owner 
Are you passionate about leveraging technology to drive marketing success? Do you have a knack for optimising platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results? This role is for you. 

As the Marketing & Content Product Owner at Global, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our marketing technology and content platforms. You’ll work closely with teams across the business to enhance customer experiences, optimise marketing initiatives, and ensure our platforms are driving measurable business value. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Ownership (50%) 

  • Develop and manage Global’s marketing technology roadmap, ensuring it aligns with both business objectives and marketing strategies. 

  • Establish key performance metrics (OKRs) for marketing and content initiatives, focusing on testing, learning, and continuous optimisation. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, CRM, editorial, and commercial—to drive new features, product enhancements, and improvements. 

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of marketing attribution systems, ensuring clear measurement of channel performance. 

Platform Optimisation (30%) 

  • Manage and improve the performance of marketing and content platforms (such as Braze, WordPress, and SEO tools), ensuring seamless integration and user experience. 

  • Optimise SEO practices across content platforms to enhance site performance, including keyword integration, meta tags, and overall SEO best practices. 

  • Collaborate with the data team to analyse user behaviour and provide actionable insights for marketing and product optimisation. 

  • Work closely with product teams, designers, and developers to refine platform offerings and deliver impactful features and campaigns. 

Day-to-Day Management (20%) 

  • Monitor and report on the quality and performance of marketing and content platforms, ensuring smooth functionality across email, web, and app channels. 

  • Collaborate with the CRM team on marketing initiatives to ensure cohesive user engagement strategies across all platforms. 

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to incorporate customer feedback into platform updates and product features. 

  • Regularly provide insights and updates on marketing and content platform performance, ensuring transparency across the business.

What Success Looks Like 

In your first few months, you’ll have: 

  • Developed a deep understanding of Global’s marketing and content platforms, driving optimisation strategies to improve customer engagement. 

  • Launched data-driven campaigns, empowering teams with insights to make informed, strategic decisions. 

  • Created and executed a test-and-learn strategy, enhancing marketing channels and improving platform effectiveness. 

  • Established strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring marketing initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives. 

 

What You’ll Need 

  • Proven Experience: Significant experience in product management, particularly in marketing technology platforms (e.g., Braze, WordPress, SEO tools). 

  • Technical Competence: Strong technical knowledge of marketing platforms, with the ability to manage technical configurations and implement improvements. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with multiple teams—marketing, CRM, editorial, and commercial—to drive product enhancements and deliver results. 

  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to analyse and interpret data to optimise marketing and content strategies, making data-backed decisions to drive business outcomes. 

  • SEO Expertise: Solid understanding of SEO best practices and technical SEO, with experience optimising content platforms to improve site performance. 

  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile product development environment. 

  • Tools in Scope: Directus, Braze, WordPress, SEMRush and other SEO platforms.
