About the role  

The Product Manager II will lead one or more product features within the Datasets team, driving technical projects focused on enhancing data delivery through new API offerings (e.g., Journals API, Images API). This role involves owning product development plans, proposing customer-centric feature ideas, and prioritizing production issues using data-driven insights. The PM will also lead stakeholder demos at key milestones and support commercial and go-to-market initiatives for the Datasets portfolio. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a technical or technical product management background to lead impactful, customer-facing projects while gaining exposure to commercial strategy and execution. 

Responsibilities  

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Dataset Product Manager and cross-functional teams to support API adoption. 
  • Develop sample codebases, SDKs, and technical documentation to assist customer integration. 
  • Lead go-to-market (GTM) planning including launch coordination with PSG, marketing, and sales. 
  • Support customer migration strategies and respond to feature/function inquiries. 
  • Own and manage one or more product features, driving execution from planning to delivery. 
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product evolution. 
  • Create demo applications to showcase API capabilities and data usage. 
  • Assist in developing sales and marketing collateral for customer engagement. 

Requirements  

  • Proficient in Python and experienced with raw data, pipelines, and transformation processes. 
  • Skilled in writing sample code and building demo apps to support API adoption. 
  • Familiar with product management tools and processes (e.g., Jira). 
  • Product management experience serving corporate customers (Life Science/ Engineering & Technology) companies) is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and interpret customer requirements. 
  • Strong aptitude for analyzing market trends and competitive activity. 
  • Supporting GTM strategy with clear milestones, deliverables, and value propositions.
