TITLE: Product Marketing Director
LOCATION: New York City (hybrid) or Fully Remote in the United States
SALARY: $160,000 - $190,000 (based on NYC, will be adjusted for geo)
The Role:
As the Product Marketing Director at Canoe Intelligence, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our new product launches and approach to client engagement. Working closely with our product management and commercial teams, you'll lead the Product Marketing function at Canoe, managing the team and developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of our platform, products and services. With your deep understanding of alternative investors and the competitive landscape, you'll craft compelling messaging and positioning that resonates with both wealth management and institutional investor clientbase, driving demand and accelerating Canoe's growth trajectory.
What You'll Do:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute product marketing strategies aligned with Canoe's overall business objectives to drive awareness, adoption and retention.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, providing valuable insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development of go-to-market plans for new product launches, including product positioning, messaging, pricing strategy, and sales enablement materials.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, sales, customer success, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and execution of product marketing initiatives, identify key value propositions, and develop messaging and positioning that differentiates our products in the marketplace.
  • Content Development: Drive the creation of compelling marketing collateral, including presentations, whitepapers, case studies, and website content, to effectively communicate the value proposition of Canoe's products, services, and solutions.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with Revenue and Marketing Operations to provide commercial teams with the necessary tools, and resources to effectively communicate the value proposition of Canoe's products to prospects and customers.
  • Market Awareness: Increase market awareness and thought leadership for Canoe's innovative solutions through participation in industry events, webinars, and other marketing channels.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, regularly tracking and analyzing results to optimize strategies and tactics for maximum impact.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the alternative investments, financial technology or software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform decision-making and measure performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
