About the role
We’re looking for a Product Manager (AI & Product Innovation) to join our product team and report to the Head of Product.
You’ll bridge commercial and technical worlds — shaping how our AI-driven products evolve from research to scalable customer solutions.
Drawing on a mix of data insight, user empathy, and commercial acumen, you’ll help Carbon Re define and deliver the next generation of AI-powered optimisation tools across heavy industry.
Your main responsibilitiesLead product discovery and definition for new AI capabilities and features, from ideation to launch.
Collaborate with research, data science and software teams to translate AI models into valuable product features.
Work closely with customers to identify pain points, test prototypes, and validate solutions.
Shape go-to-market strategies and messaging in partnership with commercial and customer success teams.
Use product analytics and feedback loops to drive continuous learning and improvement.
Communicate product vision and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in product management or strategy in a technology or SaaS environment — ideally with exposure to AI, data, or optimisation tools.
Strong intuition and empathy for solving problems in real manufacturing environments
Practical grasp of physics and engineering fundamentals
Proven ability to work across technical and commercial domains, aligning engineering with business priorities.
Strong analytical mindset with fluency in metrics, experimentation, and validation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Entrepreneurial drive and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment.
Equally at ease discussing product-market fit and model accuracy.
Comfortable leading workshops, structuring ideas, and influencing decisions without direct authority.
Passionate about the intersection of AI, sustainability, and real-world impact.
