As a Product Manager at Carbon Robotics, you represent the voice of the customer to the product team with a deep understanding of customer’s product needs and what technology-based capabilities are required to meet those needs. This is a new role on our Autonomy Product Team where you will help define the product roadmap to build the future of farming. Working with stakeholders and leadership, you will prioritize the product backlog to ensure that the team is working on features that maximize business value and deliver necessary functionality to customers. 

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with the business stakeholders, Engineering Managers, and product teams to define product requirements, functionality and priorities
  • Use global processes to thoroughly understand the scope, complexity and dependencies of the business and what product functionality is needed
  • Communicate with the cross functional teams to ensure alignment across products within a product family
  • Responsible for collaboration of full end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to decommission with product teams
  • Travel extensively to field and farm, visiting with customers, prospects, and sales - 90% travel (home most weekends)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

  • Strong technical foundation in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, with hands‑on experience in robotics, autonomous systems, heavy machinery, or industrial/ag equipment.
  • Deep understanding of system architecture, subsystem integration, and hardware‑software product development, with the ability to translate engineering constraints into product decisions.
  • Experience in R&D environments, including rapid prototyping, technical validation, and use of 3D printing/additive manufacturing to accelerate development.
  • Sensor technology knowledge (perception, environmental, machine‑health, precision‑ag), including data characteristics, integration challenges, and field performance.
  • Proven ability to build customer‑driven, technically grounded product roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills for data‑driven requirements, market insights, and customer discovery.
  • Skilled at driving strategic trade‑offs across engineering, operations, and business teams.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with strong customer empathy and the ability to influence without authority.

Carbon Robotics follows equitable hiring practices. Flexibility in our hiring process allows hiring of talent at levels different from what are posted.  The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.

Carbon Robotics' base salary pay range:
$125,000$145,000 USD
