The Merchant Reporting Product Manager is responsible for defining and delivering Boku’s reporting and data visibility solutions for global merchant partners. This role ensures merchants have timely, accurate, and actionable insights into their transaction, settlement, and performance data, driving transparency and trust in Boku’s payments network. Working closely with Data Engineering, Finance, Merchant Operations, and Commercial teams, the Product Manager will own the roadmap for merchant-facing reports, APIs, and dashboards — focusing on scalability, automation, and data integrity. The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership skills with a deep understanding of payments data flows and reporting requirements in high-volume transactional environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for all merchant-facing reporting solutions.
  • Define reporting requirements in partnership with merchants, Operations, Finance, and Data teams.
  • Prioritise and manage the reporting backlog, balancing commercial needs, technical feasibility, and operational priorities.
  • Translate complex data requirements into clear, actionable product specifications for Engineering and Data teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of new reports, dashboards, and APIs — ensuring accuracy, usability, and compliance with data standards.
  • Drive automation and self-service capabilities that reduce manual reporting and improve merchant experience.
  • Monitor reporting accuracy, delivery timeliness, and merchant adoption, defining KPIs and success metrics.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI to improve the accessibility and visualisation of merchant data.
  • Communicate product progress, results, and upcoming changes to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure alignment with internal audit, finance controls, and regulatory reporting obligations.

Key Skills, experience and Competencies:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in payments, data, or financial reporting products.
  • Strong understanding of payment flows, settlements, and reconciliation data models.
  • Proficiency in working with data teams and analytics tools (SQL, BI platforms, or reporting APIs).
  • Experience delivering merchant-facing or client data products at scale.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable engaging both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-team delivery initiatives with clear prioritisation and measurable outcomes.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
  • Knowledge of financial controls, audit, or compliance processes (desirable).
