Summary

We are seeking a technically strong, design-led Product Manager to take ownership of the functional design and architecture for SAP Finance processes within a defined domain (e.g., Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Reporting and Planning).

This role is accountable for ensuring design integrity, process standardisation, and long-term architectural health across SAP ECC and supporting the organisation’s transition to SAP S/4HANA.

Unlike traditional product roles centred on stakeholder management and backlog ownership, this position acts as the design authority for the relevant Finance domain – shaping end to end processes, defining integration and data structures, making key design decisions, and ensuring adherence to SAP best practice, internal control requirements, and architectural standards.

It is an ideal role for someone with strong SAP Finance expertise who enjoys complex problem-solving and setting product direction through robust design.

What you'll do

  • Lead Functional Design: Own the end‑to‑end functional design for your Finance domain, ensuring SAP best practice, minimal customisation, and robust process, configuration, and posting logic standards.
  • Drive Architecture & Integration: Define and maintain integration patterns (IDOCs, APIs, bank interfaces, files), ensuring accurate, controlled, and compliant financial data flows across systems.
  • S/4HANA Readiness & Delivery: Lead domain input into S/4HANA design/build, complete simplification and delta assessments, define migration rules, and ensure readiness for testing, cutover, and go‑live.
  • Ensure Controls & Compliance: Uphold statutory, tax, audit, and internal control requirements, maintaining high‑quality design documents, process flows, and governance standards.
  • Stability & Data Integrity: Perform root‑cause analysis, drive structural improvements, and ensure consistent application of Finance master data and transactional data rules.

Who you are

  • Strong SAP Finance Expertise: Deep knowledge of ECC Finance processes (RtR, PtP, OtC), with the ability to translate Finance requirements into well‑structured SAP designs and governed configuration/integration standards.
  • Analytical and Control‑Focused: Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to financial controls, data accuracy, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
  • Enterprise Design Leadership: Experienced in shaping complex solutions with architects and technical teams, acting as a design authority and making sound decisions in challenging scenarios.
  • S/4HANA & Modern SAP Technologies (Desirable): Familiar with S/4HANA Finance design/migration, Finance data models, and SAP extension tools such as BTP, APIs, and event‑driven architectures.
  • Personal Attributes: Structured, calm, methodical, proactive, and collaborative—committed to simplification, problem‑solving, and long‑term solution quality across Finance and technical teams.
