Description

About Zego

At Zego, we understand that traditional motor insurance holds good drivers back. It's too complicated, too expensive, and it doesn't reflect how well you actually drive. Since 2016, we have been on a mission to change that by offering the lowest priced insurance for good drivers.
From van drivers and gig workers to everyday car drivers, our customers are the driving force behind everything we do. We've sold tens of millions of policies and raised over $200 million in funding. And we’re only just getting started.
Overview of the Product team:

At Zego, Product Managers are at the heart of driving strategic growth and innovation. Our team is responsible for building and scaling high-impact pricing and underwriting solutions that power Zego’s ability to offer the most competitive insurance for good drivers.

We work in a fast-paced, Agile environment, collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists, actuaries, and underwriters to build scalable, data-driven systems. Whether it’s optimising our real-time pricing models, enhancing our underwriting capabilities, or ensuring seamless integrations across the business, our team plays a critical role in shaping Zego’s future.

About the Role

As a Product Manager in the Pricing team, you will play a key role in shaping the intersection of Product, Pricing, and Underwriting at Zego, contributing to Zego’s mission of offering the lowest-priced insurance for good drivers. You’ll work within a tight-knit team of engineers, data scientists, actuaries, and underwriters to build, deploy, and maintain industry-leading pricing models, enabling Zego to expand its underwriting footprint and rapidly grow at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to achieve its mission to build, deploy, and maintain industry-leading pricing models, enabling Zego to expand its underwriting footprint and rapidly grow at scale
  • Own and drive the development of the Underwriting & Pricing platform, managing the backlog, roadmap, and prioritisation to align with business goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, actuaries, and underwriters to refine pricing models and underwriting strategies
  • Drive discovery, refinement, and execution of key initiatives, ensuring alignment across Product, Tech, and business teams
  • Manage stakeholder communication, keeping teams informed on strategic direction, priorities, and progress
  • Facilitate Agile team ceremonies, supporting effective collaboration and execution of product initiatives

About You

  • Experience as a Product Manager in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with databases, Amplitude, Looker, or similar tools to inform decision-making
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, data science, and actuarial teams in a cross-functional setting
  • Background working in platform teams, particularly on pricing, financial, or underwriting systems
  • Self-driven and proactive, taking ownership of outcomes and leading initiatives from concept to implementation
  • Able to influence and align stakeholders, ensuring clarity and collaboration across teams
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience in motor insurance and/or telematics
    • A technical background (engineering or data science)
