Job Description:

We’re seeking an experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in Payments & financial compliance to drive innovation across Elite’s legal financial and practice management solutions. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of payment and compliance-related product strategies that deliver seamless, secure, and scalable financial experiences to legal professionals and their clients.

As a critical leader in our product organization, you’ll operate at the intersection of customer needs, compliance requirements, and technical feasibility. You’ll define the vision and roadmap for payment capabilities—including billing, invoicing, integrations, and fund transfers—across our cloud and on-premise platforms.

We’re looking for someone who understands the complexity of legal payments and compliance (IOLTA, PCI, KYC, etc.), has a strong grasp of B2B financial workflows, and thrives in a high-visibility, cross-functional environment.

This is a hybrid role with in-person collaboration with the London payments team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for payment capabilities within our legal and financial management suite, including core payment processing, integrations, reconciliation, and compliance.
  • Drive product discovery to uncover customer pain points related to billing, trust accounting, and client payments—translating insights into validated solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic payments roadmap, balancing technical innovation, regulatory compliance, and customer impact.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements that improve customer experience, reduce friction, and enable revenue growth.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, UX, and external payment providers to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, NACHA, Open Banking, AML/KYC).
  • Collaborate with Go-to-Market, Support, and Customer Success teams to ensure the successful launch, adoption, and optimization of payment features.
  • Stay current on payment technologies, fintech trends, and legal billing regulations—leveraging insights to shape the long-term product vision.
  • Champion the product internally and externally, delivering clear and compelling communications that align stakeholders and inspire customer confidence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the department/company

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software with a focus on payment systems, financial platforms, or fintech.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Product Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Business-related field.
  • Demonstrated success managing product strategy for payments, including knowledge of merchant processing, third-party gateways, digital wallets, and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial workflows into intuitive, user-centric product experiences.
  • Deep experience in customer discovery, problem framing, and solution validation.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to partner with Scrum teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable navigating compliance, security, and legal frameworks related to payment processing.
  • A collaborative mindset, analytical rigor, and a passion for improving how professionals manage and move money.
