Job Description

Checkout.com is seeking a Senior Product Manager in its Consumer team delivering best-in-class payment experiences for merchants and consumers. These products enable our merchants to take a broad range of payment methods within their website, mobile apps and are key to the success of some of our largest merchants. You will need a wide variety of skills, from being technically literate, to excellent stakeholder management, to a strong product craft in bringing products to scale. In addition, you will define the growth strategy for Consumer, ensuring our products are optimised for the best conversion and acceptance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and own a set of products under our Consumer pillar, enabling our merchants to take a wide variety of payments within their website, mobile apps. 

  • Build out a strategy for payment experience at Checkout.com, including how we optimise our existing products for best payment conversion delivering best in class merchant and consumer experience.

  • 10x the usage of our existing product suite whilst also defining and ideating on net-new and greenfield mobile products.

  • Be an expert in payment experience space, informing our strategy to offer our merchants a best-in-class solution.

  • Build strong partnerships with business, product, and technology stakeholders:  buy-in and collaboration to generate momentum for mobile products.

  • Work with other product and engineering leaders to ensure alignment with cross-functional roadmaps that relate to the mobile world.

  • Gain a deep understanding of Checkout.com’s customers, be them end-customers or developers, and businesses themselves. 

  • Build strong relationships across your network, particularly with engineering. You foster a team culture that upholds Checkout.com’s operating principles.

About you:

  • 5-9 years of product management experience.

  • Data-driven: Skilled at leveraging data and business insights to determine strategic priorities and drive the product roadmap and execution. You’re outcome-first to drive the most value for our products.

  • Customer-first: Think from the customer's perspective and can balance future opportunities with immediate needs. You’re able to empathise with different customer types, from developers to end-users.

  • End-to-end mindset: Think in a structured and diligent manner, understanding all key components necessary to drive the ongoing success of a product. You’ve taken products from ideation to execution and also scaled existing ones. 

  • Leadership: Excellent at collaborating with stakeholders across multiple verticals in product, engineering, design, commercial, and business teams proactively, demonstrating high EQ and influencing skills.

  • Effective communicator: Able to inspire others with a shared vision and simplify complex concepts for a wide range of audiences.

  • Experience working with technical products is highly desirable. This could be APIs, DBs, SDKs, or Infra: we’d love to hear about your experience on technical and developer-first products.

  • Experience working with mobile technologies is also highly desirable, but not necessary.
