Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager to join our Product Team responsible for driving the strategy, development and delivery of our next-generation Execution Management System (EMS) platform. This role requires a blend of engineering and product experience and the ideal candidate will engage with clients (neobanks, hedge funds and asset managers) to establish, shape and drive product and market requirements, develop a clear vision and roadmap for EMS solutions, and collaborate closely with the engineering team to prioritize and deliver these products from inception through to execution.
Your responsibilities will extend to supporting go-to-market strategies and sales enablement to launch market-leading solutions. You will work alongside a diverse team of experts, including engineering, quant, client delivery and sales professionals, fostering an inclusive culture that values diverse ideas and experiences. In this role, you will be expected to synthesize client needs, competitive analysis, and industry trends to inform a phased roadmap for EMS solutions. You will also be responsible for enabling sales teams with the necessary support for customer engagements and non-standard deals, ensuring that our product features align with project execution requirements. Your ability to think critically and promote innovative ideas will be essential as you navigate the complexities of the digital assets landscape.
Key Responsibilities
With ownership of the EMS platform and products and capabilities within this Platform, the key outputs and outcomes will include:
- Clearly defined and prioritised roadmap for key platform verticals to ensure initiatives are worked through, documented, and built with expert precision
- Defined, well-researched product specifications that are conscious of the intricacies and idiosyncrasies of the crypto universe
- In-depth market and competitor research to ensure best-in-class products and features that meet clients’ needs - and beyond
- Daily client engagement to proactively identify themes and trends that can help solve client problems and fulfil their ambitions
- Ongoing cross-company engagement to ensure we ship secure, compliant solutions that meet institutional expectation
- Line management responsibilities for the EMS Product Team
Qualifications/Knowledge
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in product management in Financial Services is essential along with a background in trading/EMS platforms
- Strong understanding of crypto markets and products
- Experience in leading and developing successful teams (desirable)
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products
- Commitment to excellence and achieving first-class results
- Comfortable articulating and establishing technical needs with Engineering colleagues
- Deep understanding of project management principles and best practices
- Excellent judgement and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of a product ecosystem
- Comfortable with project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong awareness of driving go-to-market strategy and comfortable with a relentless pursuit of product-market fit
- Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills, focusing on key outcomes amidst competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to embrace ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Interested in the use of AI tools
