Job Description

As the Product Manager for Ascend Sandbox and Retro on Demand, you will be responsible for the complete product lifecycle of these critical offerings. You will serve as the bridge between client needs and technical delivery, translating user research and market requirements into product features that enhance usability and accelerate time-to-value for analytical users of varying technical backgrounds.

This role requires expertise in financial services analytics with a focus on making complex data accessible and valuable to users. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver product enhancements that drive adoption and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for Ascend Sandbox and Retro on Demand, aligning with overall Ascend suite objectives and Experian's strategic priorities
  • Conduct and synthesize user research to identify pain points, opportunities, and requirements that improve the analytics experience
  • Translate client use cases into clear product requirements with a focus on usability, data accessibility, and analytical workflow optimization
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product delivery and go-to-market execution
  • Define and track key performance metrics to measure product success and inform iteration
  • Support sales and client-facing teams with product expertise during the sales cycle and client implementation
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in the data analytics and cloud platform space
  • Represent the voice of the client in internal discussions about product direction and prioritization

Qualifications

  • Credit risk experience is essential
  • Strong understanding of data analytics workflows and how data products deliver value to users
  • Practical knowledge of credit reference data, behavioral data, and financial transactional data structures
  • Experience with analytical platforms and understanding how different users extract value from data
  • Understanding of the end-to-end lending decision flow, including risk assessment and affordability checks
  • Ability to translate complex user needs into clear, actionable requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities across technical and business audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions to deliver solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and structured approach to problem-solving
  • Awareness of relevant financial and data protection regulations and regulatory bodies (FCA/PRA/ICO)
