About ActiveViam

ActiveViam, a global leader in Big Data analytics and Fintech, is a premier software development firm with offices in New York, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Paris, and is looking to add to its growing staff.

Our customers are some of the largest banks, hedge funds and asset managers worldwide.

Our exclusive AI powered technology, Atoti, offers a unique answer to the challenges of risk management, real-time data analytics and complex decision-making, while our commitment to service ensures our solutions are delivered with the same outcome of quick and precise results.

Our community edition software is used by data scientists in a variety of other verticals building industrialized solutions in Python and Jupyter notebooks.

The Opportunity

We are a leading FinTech company seeking a numerate, commercially minded Product Manager to own the vision and strategy for AI and Workflow automation across our Atoti platform.

Atoti serves the financial risk and analytics market. In this role you will define the "What" of how we bring automation and applied intelligence to complex risk workflows — replacing manual, repetitive effort with systems that are fast, reliable, and explainable.

You will act as the bridge between the market and technology, translating the needs of Risk Managers, Quantitative Analysts, and Risk Technologists into a product strategy that supports our growth. Importantly, you will bring the judgment to know when a problem is best solved by AI and agentic automation, and when the right answer is a well-understood, deterministic algorithm.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Vision (The "What")

  • Define the Strategy & Vision: Take ownership of the product vision for AI and Workflow automation within Atoti. Move beyond the backlog to define what we are building and why.
  • Applied Intelligence, Not Hype: Bring a grounded view of automation — judging where large language models and agentic workflows genuinely add value, and where a deterministic algorithm or rules-based engine is the more accurate, auditable, and cost-effective choice.
  • New & Core Development: Manage the lifecycle of existing automation capabilities while shaping and validating new functionality that compounds the value of the platform.
  • Strategic Balance: Work closely with Engineering to prioritise the roadmap, balancing service to existing customers, core platform maintenance, and new, revenue-generating functionality

2. Commercial & Client Engagement

  • Client-Facing Product Discovery: Partner with the Go-To-Market (GTM) team on product discovery. You will be the product expert in the room, comfortable discussing complex requirements with stakeholders ranging from Quants and Risk Managers to C-level executives (CROs, CTOs).
  • Market Alignment: Ensure new functionality aligns with the broader commercial strategy and has a clear "right to win" within our target market.
  • Value Proposition & ROI: Articulate the commercial impact of automation, measurable time saved, error reduction, and capacity unlocked, so the GTM team can position our solutions to win business.

3.  Execution & Delivery

  • Engineering Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Engineering. While you define the "what," you understand the software delivery lifecycle well enough to help shape the "how" and weigh technical trade-offs, including the data, latency, and accuracy constraints specific to AI systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central hub between Sales, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure successful go-to-market and adoption.

Who You Are

We are open to two specific profiles for this role. You are either:

1. An Experienced Product Manager who has built AI, automation, or analytics products, ideally within financial risk, capital markets, or a comparable quantitative domain, in a FinTech, bank, or asset management setting.

OR

2. An Industry Practitioner such as a Quantitative Analyst, Risk Analyst, Risk Manager, or Risk Technologist, moving into Product Management, with a strong interest in automation and a working understanding of how software is built.

Essential Requirements:

  • Numeracy & Quantitative Foundation: You are comfortable with the mathematics that underpins risk analytics and can engage credibly with quants on methodology. This typically comes from a degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Quantitative Finance) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Financial Ecosystem Knowledge: A solid understanding of financial markets and the risk ecosystem, the instruments, the workflows, the participants, and the language used day-to-day.
  • A Pragmatic & Expert View of AI: You understand the strengths and the real limitations of AI, LLMs, and agentic systems, and you recognise that the right "intelligence" is sometimes a deterministic algorithm. You optimise for accuracy, explainability, and trust.
  • Commercial Outlook: You don't just build features; you understand the commercial drivers of our clients and the ROI of automation.
  • Communication Skills: You are fluent in both business and technical language and comfortable engaging across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strategic Thinking: A demonstrated ability to translate complex inputs into a clear, actionable strategy.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast paced international environment with real breadth of exposure.
  • A collaborative, high-performance team with a clear path for progression.
  • Hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office).
