WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 

We are looking for a well-seasoned SaaS Product Manager to join our team, with a solid background in the development of products to ensure customer satisfaction. 

This role requires working with business owners, product managers, and engineering teams to define priorities, requirements, and releases. To that end, you will be in regular communication with the leadership team on roadmaps, product and program updates, risks, and change management. Cross-team coordination, product management, problem-solving, stakeholder management and executive communication are part of your skillset, while being capable of exercising good judgement and overseeing the life cycle of a product.  

As part of Santander Auto Software team, you will be leading the development of one of our verticals, working closely with engineers, business and countries. 

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts: 

  • Create and deliver a roadmap for your vertical aligned with our global strategy and deliver it.  

  • Work closely with Tech Leads and Engineer to define and document the requirements for our state-of-the-art SaaS platform.  

  • Lead on the specification, selection and implementation of new software and features.   

  • Break products and product features into user stories.  

  • Manage the product design and development process including backlog management, prioritization and execution.  

  • Developing products through insights from market research and customer buying behaviour and leverage data and use market-leading product analytics solutions to make data-informed product decisions.  

  • Promote quantitative and qualitative insights to make decisions and measure success.   

  • Conduct user research to inform product requirements, design, strategy and direction.  

  • Defining the key features, specifications and requirements of the product based on customer preferences.  

  • You will work with our growing UX team to refine our discovery, design, and validation processes.  

  • Test and validate user stories via APIs and user interfaces.  

  • Connect with a cross-functional team, collaborate with people across the business and third-party suppliers.   

EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience working in the automotive leasing or financing sector is beneficial  

  • Proven substantial experience as a product manager for enterprise software products, and well versed in building commercially successful technology products.  

  • Previous experience in software development is a must.  

  • Excellent collaboration skills and problem solving skills.   

  • Strong presentation and writing skills.  

  • Experience developing product roadmaps and release plans.  

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and make trade-offs.  

  • Proficiency in the use of product analytics tools.  

  • Knowledge and experience with human-centered design principles.  

  • Balance of technical knowledge, user centricity and business acumen.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.  

  • High degree of organization, initiative and personal accountability.  

  • Experience with collaboration, communication and project management tools (e.g. Slack, Trello, JIRA,FIGMA,Gitlab)   

EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience. 

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE 

  • Worked with agile cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.   

  • Strong analytical skills, as an advocate for the use of data, comfortable working with data to make decisions.   

  • Experience with all elements of product management from discovery to delivery.    

  • Achieved great outcomes through systems, delivering value through a brilliant user experience.   

  • Used technology to help an organization to scale.   

  • A fantastic listener and communicator. Everyone you interact with, from team members to Leadership.  

  • The ability to forge strong relationships with clients and the ability to understand their requirements.  

  • The ability to grasp the requirements of new industries or opportunities quickly and independently.  

  • Self-motivation, and comfort with working in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.  

  • Strongly solution-focused approach.  

  

LOCATIONS 

  • The vacancy will be fully remote based out of the UK
