We are looking for an engaged and forward‑thinking Product Manager to join our Renewables Certification (RC) team and help define and deliver the next generation of digital certification solutions.

Renewables Certification (RC) is part of the Energy Systems (ES) business area, which employs more than 6000 people globally. Renewables Certification (RC) holds global responsibility for Type Certification (TC), Component Certification (CC) and Project Certification (PC) for Renewables within ES. 

Currently RC consists of more than 300+ experts across global locations, including Beijing, Boston, Busan, Copenhagen, Dresden, Esbjerg, Gdynia, Hamburg, Houston, Høvik, London, Shanghai, Taipei and Yokohama.

RC is the global market leader in Renewables Certification and is involved in 80% of all Project Certification for offshore wind farms worldwide, including offshore substations. 

We are seeking a Product Manager to define and deliver the next generation of digital certification capabilities for Renewables Certification.

This role is accountable for translating RC’s strategic priorities into a clear product vision, roadmap, and delivered solutions and platform capabilities that improve efficiency, consistency, and value creation across certification workflows”.

The focus is execution. This role will drive measurable outcomes through structured data, workflow automation, and AI enabled capabilities, while ensuring alignment with Energy Systems AI governance, interoperability strategy, and data governance standards.

Key Outcomes 12 to 24 Months

  • Establish a structured digital foundation for RC certification capabilities and workflows
  • Deliver a scalable, continuously expanding library of certification requirements 
  • Implement processes to extract, structure, and validate customer documentation against requirements from standards and certification schemes 
  • Enable automated or semi-automated report generation using AI with human in the loop validation
  • Improve productivity of certification engineers through workflow automation and decision support tools 
  • Increase consistency and quality of certification outputs across regions 
  • Partnering with the innovation manager to create a pipeline for rapid development and digitization of new services, certification schemes and standards
  • Enable faster onboarding of new certification offerings and reduce time to market for new services
  • Ensure all solutions align with Energy Systems AI governance, interoperability roadmap, and data governance standards
  • Demonstrate measurable gains in efficiency, turnaround time, customer value, and certification throughput 

Core Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy aligned with RC and Energy Systems priorities
  • Own and manage the product roadmap with clear prioritization and outcomes
  • Translate business and technical needs into scalable, interoperable product solutions
  • Drive end to end delivery in partnership with software engineering and data teams
  • Define and scale AI enabled use cases across documentation, reporting, and risk analysis in line with governance requirements
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise AI governance, data governance, interoperability frameworks and accreditation requirements
  • Establish product governance, backlog management, and release planning
  • Drive adoption across RC through structured rollout and enablement
  • Track and report on product performance, impact, and ROI

Operating Model

  • Acts as the single point of accountability for product direction and delivery
  • Works with dedicated or allocated software engineering resources
  • Partners closely with RC leadership, service lines, and technical experts
  • Interfaces with central digital, data, and AI teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards

Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in engineering, information systems, digital transformation, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience combining digital product leadership with work in complex, regulated environments is highly valued.

  • Proven ability to define strategy, build roadmaps, and deliver at scale

  • Experience working with engineering teams to deliver platforms or workflow solutions

  • Track record of driving measurable outcomes through digital products

  • Experience with data platforms, automation, and AI enabled solutions

  • Familiarity with governance models for AI, data, and enterprise architecture

  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, global, and matrixed environments
