Product Lead (Siebel decommissioning)

£57,000 - £67,000 (+ Benefits)

Reports to: Head of Product Portfolio (Marketing & Engagement)

Department: Chief Operating Office

Contract: 2 year fixed-term contract

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Location: Stratford, London. Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

We are recruiting for a Siebel Product Lead to support our ambitious plans under the Engage Transformation Programme. As a Product Lead, you will lead on decommissioning our Siebel platform as we migrate to Salesforce. You will play an autonomous role in designing and delivering products that meet the needs of our supporters and internal users. You will help ensure that Cancer Research UK has the right culture, skills, and processes for successful delivery and transformation, while fully owning our Siebel digital estate (including strategy and budget).

Your legacy by the end of the programme will be to have partnered closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation to decommission Siebel and to have helped deliver the largest change programme in the history of the UK charity sector. What will I be doing?

  • Leading on change initiatives to decommission Siebel

  • Leading and motivating your teams, contributing to a culture of high performance while acting as a role model and setting high professional standards for performance and behaviour. 

  • Leading on the creation of a roadmap that is strategically aligned, technically viable, and widely understood. 

  • Defining and ensuring high-quality and fast-paced delivery of product outcomes across your teams. 

  • Line managing staff within your portfolio in line with Cancer Research UK’s standards and leadership behaviours (including coaching and developing skills). 

  • Setting, forecasting, and managing budgets (including leading planning processes). 

  • Influencing others effectively (including at a senior level) and building internal networks for collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organisation. 

  • Collaborating with others to ensure that your products are appropriately supported, adhere to SLAs and other operational requirements, and minimise performance risks. 

  • Ensuring Cancer Research UK’s equality and diversity policies are appropriately embedded in all your work. 

  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant governance across your products. 

What skills will I need?

  • Experienced Product or Technology Leader with experience and knowledge of Siebel/ CRM platforms.

    • Experience decommissioning Siebel or CRM platforms would be advantageous but is not essential meaning we welcome applicants without this experience.

  • Has helped to shape culture, build teams, and lead through change in line with Cancer Research UK’s leadership behaviours.

  • A track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-transaction digital products at pace in a large and complex organisation

  • Balanced user needs, strategic and technical requirements, and operational demand in a complex environment with constrained resources. 

  • Demonstrable understanding of outcome-led decision-making and related ways of working. 

  • Led and developed digital professionals with an inclusive approach (this includes supporting career progression, skills development, and leadership coaching).

  • Managed budgets (including external suppliers) with a focus on affordability and effective ways of working. 

  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to persuade and negotiate with stakeholders of all levels (including communicating methodologies and projects to a diverse, non-expert audience who may be sceptical of a user-first or agile approach). 

  • Effective at collaborating and forming relationships across boundaries and locations. 

  • Implemented robust information security and data protection controls.
